Lauki Koftas are fried balls made out of bottle gourd. This dish made from lauki (bottle-gourd) is served in thin broth-like sauce. There are two phases in this recipe. One phase involves making koftas and then adding these koftas in a rich, buttery sauce with tomatoes and aromatic spices. Traditionally, the gravy for this kofta is thin broth-like. However, these koftas also do well in makhni (buttery) gravy.
