Lateral Glacier

Lateral Glacier - located in the Tehri Garhwal District - is the source of Bhilganga River. It is surrounded by snow peaks of the Jogin group (6,466 m), Spathic Pristwar (6,905 m), Barte Kauter (6,579 m), Kird Stambh (6,902 m) and Meru. The moraines on the side of the glacier give the appearance of standing walls of gravel mud. The glacier is 45 kms trek from Ghuttu. There are excellent spots for camping at the entry of the Bhilganga Valley.
