Lambadi




Lambadi, the dance of the nomads, is related with routine work such as harvesting, planting and sowing. It is performed by the Banjaras (Lambadies), a semi-nomadic tribe, settled all over the state of Andhra Pradesh. Lambadi is enacted during festival times and the dancers wear costumes embroidered with glass beats and mirrors, jewellery, ivory bangles and brass anklets.
