Lamakhera




Lying on the banks of the Parvati River, Lamakhera is the eastern-most settlement in Guna District. It is situated 1351 ft above sea level, about 12 km west of Raghogarh and 34 km south-west of Guna. Lamakhera is an ideal base for trekking enthusiasts. A trekking route from Kumbhraj passes through this village. Some of the interesting sites nearby include Raghogarh Fort, Indore Shiva Temple, Chanderi Fort, Shri Parsvanath Jinalaya, Singhpur Palace and Ashoknagar Jain Temple. The nearest airport is at Bhopal. Guna Railway Station serves Lamakhera. By road, this place is well connected with Ashoknagar, Vidisha and Rajgarh.
