Lalgudi




Lalgudi is a small town situated about 20 km from Tiruchirapalli, in Tamil Nadu. The town is of famous for its archeological significance with the ancient temple which was built during the Chola dynasty. Saptarishiswarar Temple, built on the banks of Coleroon River, is the major point of attraction. Vadivazhagiya Nambi Temple, one of the sacred 108 Divya Desams, is just 10 km from Lalgudi. Lalgudi has a railway station on the Virudhachalam-Tiruchirapalli rail route of Southern Railways.
