St George Church (New Church) is located at
Lalam in
Kottayam District. It was built in the 19th century by some families of Pala Valiya Palli. Thirunal of Saint George, the main feast, is held in the last Saturday and Sunday of November.
The church manages St Marthas Sisters Convent, Sanjo Hostel and Carmel Hostel. A charitable trust, St George Charitable Medical Trust, focuses the welfare of poor and uncared patients.
Lalam is 9 km east of
Erattupetta.
Kottayam Railway Station is the major railhead nearby.
