Ladakh Heart Foundation, started in 1997, is a non profit and non political charitable trust situated at
Ladakh, in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. The organization mainly concentrates on prevention and control of cardio-vascular diseases and diabetes. Health workers are trained to diagnose heart problems.
Ladakh Heart Foundation also educates the locals about heart problems and its consequences. Programs to control alcohol consumption and tobacco smoking are conducted. Health promotional programs, especially for children and aged persons are organized occasionally.
