Lachung Temple

Lachung Temple is the oldest shrine in the locality of Diskit in Leh District. This small temple is near to the Diskit Monastery. The temple contains the soiled murals that face a huge Tsong-kha-pa statue topped with a Gelug-pa yellow hat.

Nearby are the Kangyu Lang and Tsangyu Lang temples, which act as storerooms for hundreds of Mongolian and Tibetan texts.

Regular bus services are conducted from Leh to Diskit. The place can also be reached from Sumur and Panamic.
