La Salsette Church is located on the mist showered hills of
Kodaikanal. Consecrated in 1886, this magnificent limestone structure is one of the major landmarks of the hill station. The church houses a statue of Mother Mary, which is considered to have miraculous powers.
On August 14th and 15th, the church celebrates a unique carnival marking the conclusion of a nine-day festival. During the festival many special services and processions are conducted.
