Kut is an important festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo community in Manipur. Every year, this autumn festival falls on the 1st November. It is also known by different names such as Chavang-Kut and Khodou.
Kut is a thanks-giving festival, in which the villagers thank god for the stock of food they attained after a year of hard work. The festival is made alive with sumptuous feasts, songs, dances and lot of merriment.
