Kushavarta Ghat is situated about half a km south of Hari-ki-Pairi Ghat in Haridwar. It is at this bathing ghat, Dattatreya is said to have done his penance by standing on one foot for a thousand years. Nearby lies another ghat called Vishnu Ghat where Lord Vishnu is said to have bathed.
Haridwar is well connected to other cities and towns by road and rail. It is about 225 km from the northeast of Delhi.
