Kurumbar Nritham is among the social dances performed by the
Kurumba and
Kattunayakan tribes of
Wayanad District,
Kerala. It is a major event in a wedding in the tribal community. Prior to marriage, the family members of both bride and bridegroom perform this dance. After marriage, the newly-wedded couple join this dance with all the members of their household.
