Kuruma

Kuruma is a small village of great archeological significance situated about 8 km from the famous Konark Sun Temple, in Orissa. Excavations done here had unearthed the reminiscence of some ancient Buddhist antiquities such as an image of Buddha seated in Bhumisparsa Mudra and an image of Heruka. It is believed to be one of the sites containing Buddhist stupas, as mentioned by Hiuen T'sang. Kuruma can be approached by a jeep from Konark.
