Kuntasi




An ideal destination for all those who are interested in Paleontology and ancient civilization, Kuntasi is an excavated site, about 30 km from Morbi in Maliya taluk of Rajkot District. During the ancient period, this was an active port and was one of the Harappan settlements. Historians say that Kuntasi maintained very good trade relations with the Gulf countries. Kuntasi, the center of Harappan civilization, has witnessed several excavations and the archeological items provide valuable information. It is believed that this Harappan site had been a center for processing raw materials into finished products, mainly for exporting them to Sindh and West Asia. Morbi Railway Station is 30 km from here and the nearest airport is at Rajkot.
