Kunkeshwar




Kunkeshwar is a picturesque seashore and an important pilgrim center situated about 20 km from Devgad, in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra. The place is noted for the elaborately carved Kunkeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Kunkeshwar, with its clean and roomy beaches, crystal clear sea waters, beautiful palm groves and mangroves allures scores of picnickers from far and near. Devgad Fort, situated about 20 km from here, is another spot worth visiting.

There are a number of restaurants serving delicious Konkani sea food.

The nearest railway station is at Nandgaon, about 36 km.
