Kundolu is on the Bhandal-Traila road, between Chudran and Traila, in Chamba District. It is in the north-western part of the district, close to its border with Jammu and Kashmir. Traila is around 15 km away. About 12 km away is Tissa, a picturesque place at an altitude of about 1,570 m and Thanela is around 6 km south.
