Operated by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Kumta has two bus stations. Kumta is situated in Uttara Kannada District. The station is connected to state highways 48 and 69. Regular buses are available to Karwar, Yana, Mallapur and Gokarna. The station also provides short distance services.
Kumta has a railway station also. The nearest airport is at Mangalore.
