Kumarpur is located to the north of Palisgram, in Bardhaman District of West Bengal. Around 15 km north-east of Kumarpur is Katwa. Sri Khanda lies to the east. Other towns in the neighborhood include Karajgram, and Kaichor. The town is close to the border of Birbhum District.
