Kumarapuram




Kumarapuram is a village lying on the banks of the Nila River in Palakkad District, Kerala. Kalpathy, Ambikapuram and Chokkanathapuram are the villages in the neighborhood. Most of the inhabitants here are the Brahmins who migrated from Tamil Nadu. The main attraction of the place is the Prasanna Venkitachalapathy Temple. Kumarapuram got its name after the deity of the temple Lord Muruga, also known as Kumaran.

Kumarapuram can be easily accessed from Palakkad Bus Station as well as from Palghat Town Railway Station.
