Kuhila Silpa, also known as Sola-pith, is a local handicraft of Agamani in Dhubri District of Assam. The stem of the plant ‘kuhila’ is used in this handicraft. Sola or kuhila is a light-weight sponge wood, which grows wild in marshy waterlogged areas.
Kushila Silpa has a long tradition and many families living here find a livelihood in it. Miniatures of gods, mask, flowers and other decorative articles are the main items produced.
