Kudar

Kudar, also called Garh Kudar, is a small village in Tikamgarh District. Situated on the Niwari - Senderi road, about 22 km away from Niwari, it was the former capital of the Kundars until 1539.

Major attraction here is a hill top fort, built by Maharaja Birsingh Dev. A temple, dedicated to Goddess Maha Maya Gridh Vasni, situated very close to the fort, is also worth visiting. Singh Sagar is a large tank, named after the goddess, located near the temple compound.

A weekly market is held on every Monday in the village.

Frequent buses connect Kudar with Niwari.
