Kuarsi, a scenic village, is situated 12 km from Chatru Parao in
Chamba District. It lies at an elevation of about 2,730 m above sea level, on the
Dharamsala -
Chamba trek route in Chamba Valley. There is a Shiva Temple, where trekkers usually spend the night.
Kuarsi is surrounded by lush green forest of a mixed variety. It offers an enchanting view of peaks and valleys all around. Kuarsi is inhabited by the Gaddi tribe, who are nomadic shepherds.
Nearby tourist destinations are Lamu, Holi, Chamba, Dharamsala and Deol. Kuarsi is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.
