Kshira Sagar Kunda

Balabhadra Kunda

Kshira Sagar Kunda is a large pond situated behind the Dauji Temple in Baldeo or Dauji town, 25 km from the south-east of Mathura. Constructed by the residents of Braja, the Kund got its name after it was filled with the milk of a large number of cows, as an offering to the deity of Balram in the Dauji Temple. The Kund is also called Sankarshana Kunda or Dugdha Kunda.
