Kram

Kram is an indigenous drum of the Garo tribe of Meghalaya. This drum of fairly large size is used only during occasions like funeral and some annual religious ceremonies. It is considered inauspicious to take the drum outside the owner’s house when there is no particular occasion for its use.

Made of wood, its two ends are covered with cowhide. One end is larger than the other, with the sides tapering towards the smaller end.
