Kottukal




Kottukal is a picturesque village in the south-western tip of Kerala and lies along the coast of the Arabian Sea. It is near Vizhinjam and is about 17 km from Thiruvananthapuram.

Chowara Beach and Azhimala Beach are the nearby attractions. Chowara Shri Dharma Shastha Temple, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, Azhimala Shiva Temple, Punnakkulam Shri Krishna Swamy Temple and Maruthoor Mahadeva Temple are the prominent shrines in this place. The Karichal Lake merges with the Arabian Sea here.

Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearest railway station. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport.
