Kothara Teerth




Kothara Teerth is a Jain pilgrim center situated at Kothara, about 80 km from Bhuj in Gujarat. The temple belongs to the group of five sacred places of the Abdasa taluk. The temple enshrines a 90 cm high white colored idol of Bhagwan Shantinath in Padmasana posture.

Situated around the Kothara Teerth is a high fort with five cells. The gate is about 12 ft high and 6 ft broad. The two-storied chief temple is adorned with intricate carvings.

Every year thousands of devotees from far and near visit the temple to pay their respect. Suthari Teerth is only 12 km from here. Accommodation facilities are provided for pilgrims.

Kothara Teerth can be reached by bus from Bhuj Bus Station. New Bhuj Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
