Kotgarh




Kotgarh is a scenic village situated near Jagannathpur in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand.

It is believed that the village was the seat of a very powerful Indian rulers, whose sway spread over the areas of Jagannathpur, Manjhari, Majhgaon and Chakradharpur.

Prime attraction in the village is a fortresses built by Narpat Singh, the last king of the dynasty. An ancient temple situated at Jagannathpur is an excellent spot outside the village.

Jagannathpur is about 45 km south-west of Chaibasa.
