Kotagiri




Kotagiri is the oldest and the third largest hill stations in Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu. It is 16 km from Ooty and is located at an altitude of about 6,397 ft above sea level. Tucked away in the Nilgiris it was used as a summer resort by the British.

Kotagiri literally means the lines of the house of the Kotas. Major point of attraction in and around Kotagiri include St Catherian's Falls, Kodanad View Point and Elk Falls.

C A Coimbatore Airport serves Kotagiri. Coimbatore Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
