Kota Government Museum



Kota Government Museum is situated at Brij Vilas Palace, near Kishore Sagar Tank. It has a rich collection of stone idols, coins and manuscripts. The museum exhibits a wide variety of sculptures from different cultural centers of the region. Several miniature paintings of Bundi, Kota, Nathdwara and Jaipur schools are preserved in the museum. The manuscript section consists of a number of manuscripts in Sanskrit, including Vedic, astronomical and astrological works. Arms, several kinds of handicrafts and costumes are also displayed. Photography is prohibited inside the museum. Kota Government Museum functions daily from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs, except on Fridays and government holidays.
