Korba District




Situated on the banks of the confluences of the rivers Hasdeo and Ahiran, Korba District of Chhattisgarh is the home land of Korba, a hilly tribe. The people mainly speak Chhattisgarhi. Korba has a diverse religious, social and cultural background. The Korba Mahotsav, held in the month of May, is an important festival. The other festivals are Hareli, Pola, Dev Uthni, and Karma. The major tourist places are Kendai Waterfall, Pali, Kanki, Tuman, Sitamani, Madwarani, Sarvamangala, and Kosgaigarh.
