Kombai




Lying at an altitude of 398 m above sea level, Kombai is a township in the hill tracks of Theni District of Tamil Nadu. This place is bounded by Udumbanchola and Kallar of Idukki District in the west, Thevaram in the north, Chinnamanur in the east and Uttamapalaiyam in the south. Theni, the district headquarters is 16 km north.

Vaigai Dam, Suruli Waterfalls and Kumbakarai Falls are accessible from here. Sri Gowmariamman Temple and Sri Kanneeswara Mudayar Temple at Veerapandi, Kuchanoor Saneeswaran Temple, Kamatchi Amman Temple and Veerappa Ayyanar Temple at Allinagaram are other worth visiting spots nearby.

Madurai Airport is 83 km east. Theni Railway Station and Bodinayakkanur Railway Station are the nearest rail access points.
