Koleshwari Mountain, 1,575 ft high, is situated 10 km east of Hantartganj in
Chatra District,
Jharkhand. Ladders have been built to climb up this mountain.
The historical importance of this mountain dates back to the period of Mahabharat and Ramayana. Presently, it is a major pilgrim center for Hindu and Jain devotees.
