The Kolavizhi Amman temple is situated at Mylapore in
Chennai,
Tamil Nadu. This temple is dedicated to Goddesses Kolavizhi Amman, a form of Sakthi (Mother Goddess). It is believed that worshippers at this temple will be cured of diseases like Chicken Pox. Although the deity in this temple is depicted in a fiery form, she is known for her love and affection towards her devotees. There are also separate shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesh, Lord Murugan and Lord Ayyappa.
