The Kolaramma temple is located in
Kolar district in
Karnataka. It is dedicated to ‘
Shakti’ an incarnation of
Goddess Parvati. It follows the Dravidian architectural style of South India. The temple was renovated by King Rajendra of the
Chola dynasty. It has well carved doors and numerous inscription stones that belong to the Chola period.
