Kolam Thullal




Kolam Thullal is a ritual offering usually performed to get rid of the troubles caused by evil spirits. In this dance, a number of characters with hideous make-up and flat big headgears dance together. The costumes of the dancers are bright, colorful and highly ornamental. The dance is performed to the accompaniment of primitive percussion instruments. There is no accompanying song.
