Kodumudi Temple




Kodumudi is one of the Shivastalams in Kongunadu. It is 36 kilometer from Erode. The Kodumudi temple has a length of 640 foot and it is 484 foot wide. The temple has three entrances that lead to the Kodumudi nathar, Ambal and Veeranarayana Perumal shrines. The rays of the sun illuminate the sanctum of Shiva and Ambal for a period of four days in the months of Panguni and Aavani. The main festival is Bhrammotsavam which is celebrated in Chithirai.
