Kirandul is located in Dantewada District of Chhattisgarh. It is around 35 km south of Dantewada.

An important hilltop settlement of Bailadila range, Kailash Nagar, can be approached by a 12 km ghat road from Kirandul. Kirandul is also an important industrial area in the district.

Nearest airport is at Raipur. Kirandul Railway Station is a terminus station on the rail line from Topokal.
