Khatris




Khatris are the traditional weaver communities of Kutch District in Gujarat. The dyers of Khatri community are famous for their fine quality of work. Their work done on the wedding dress, which is enriched, with silver and gold thread embroidery, is well known all over India.

Khatris were originally from Sindh and migrated to different printing centers of western and Northern India. They are great followers of Vaishnavism.
