Khasa




Khasa is a small town situated along the National Highway 1, on the way to Atari near the Indo – Pakistan border, in Amritsar District. Amritsar, the district headquarters, is about 12 km east and Atari is 16 km west.

Akal Takhat, Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple and Golden Temple are some tourist spots in the nearby Amritsar. The change of guards and retreat of troops at sundown, at the Wagah Border, is a not-to-miss spectacle.

Amritsar International Airport serves Khasa. Khasa Railway Station is on the Amritsar – Atari rail line of Northern Railways.
