Kharbara




An ancient village around 200 years old, Kharbara is a small settlement in Bikaner District of Rajasthan. Devasar is the nearest town, 7 km to the south. Fifteen kilometers to the east lies the town of Hathusar. The district headquarters, Bikaner, is around 103 km to the south of this town. Majority of the people are illiterate and the main occupation is agriculture. Indira Gandhi Canal passes through this land. The main crops cultivated here are wheat, mustard and gram during the winters and groundnut and cotton during summers. Kharbara has a primary health center and a government primary school. Mahajan Railway Station and Jodhpur Airport serve Kharbara.
