Khaparia is a scenic village on the banks of the Narmada River, in Hoshangabad District of Madhya Pradesh. It is located 17 km away from Nandarwara and 9 km away from Mardanpur. Hoshangabad, the administrative headquarters of district, is 37 km away and Bhopal is 78 km north.

Khaparia is an ideal base for trekking enthusiasts who are on the way to Narmada Valley. Tawa Dam, Pachmarhi and Bori Wildlife Sanctuary are the prominent tourist sites nearby.

The nearest airport is Bhopal Airport. Itarsi Junction Railway Station serves this place. Khaparia can be easily approached on the Harda - Hoshangabad road, which connects the village with National Highway 69.
