Khandoba Temple




Located at Ambad, Khandoba Temple was constructed by queen Ahilyabai Holkar at the end of the eighteenth century. The structure of the temple is influenced by South Indian temple architecture. The shrine is enclosed in a stone wall. The entrance is surmounted by a nagarkhana (chamber for temple-musicians) and the courtyard has an iron-pillar on either side.
