Khalo Dal

Khalo Dal is very common lentil soup usually eaten with rice. It is prepared from black gram. For this dish, fully cooked black grams with turmeric powder, ginger paste and mustard oil are mixed with sautéed mixture of chopped onion and garlic. It pairs well with Sidra ko achar (a flavored pickle prepared from dry, small fish Sidra) and cooked rice.
