Ketti Vitaanam

Ketti Vitaanam is the process of decorating the place where people conduct a program, especially a religious one. Vitaanam means the decoration of the roof. Indigenous articles are used for this purpose. In association with Kalamezhuthum Pattum, the decorating of the place for Kalam writing is called Kettivitaanam. Kettivitaanam is used to attract the attention of the devotees, to prevent other creatures from encroaching on the roof, and also to make the rituals look auspicious.
