Kerala State Coir Corporation Ltd is a center for the systematic development of coir industry in
Kerala. It is a fully owned government company established in 1969.
The corporation has its administrative wings and manufacturing facilities in a sprawling complex in Alappuzha. For coir industry, it is one of the largest and the most diversified manufacturing plant in the country.
Its activities include curled coir manufacturing and allied products sectors. The center aims to the upliftment and promotion of coir industry to improve the life style of village women in the state of Kerala.
