Kempty Falls

Kempty Falls, sometimes spelt Campti Falls, located 16 km from Mussoorie, on the new road to Yamunotri, is one of the major attractions in this region. The name Kempty is derived from `camp-tea', as Britishers organised tea parties here. Kempty Falls is formed from a mountain stream, which has cut its way through great rocks, to finally gush down the mountain face. The water cascades down from an altitude of 4,500 feet and splits further into five cascades, offering a wonderful view.

Kempty is located on the road to Chakrata and can be reached by a taxi or bus. Accommodation options are available.
