Kelambakkam

Kelambakkam, in Kanchipuram District, is on the outskirts of Chennai, about 32 km south. It lies on the Old Mahabalipuram Road between Thiruvanmiyur and Mahabalipuram.

Hindustan College of Engineering and Hindustan College of Arts and Science at Padur, Sushil Hari International Residential School, Women’s Biotechnology Park and Dhanapalan College for Women are the landmarks. Also, a number of engineering colleges and industrial units are seen on the way from Thiruvanmiyur.

Covelong Beach and Tirupporur Murugan Temple are only a short drive from here. Arignar Anna Zoological Park (Vandalur Zoo) can be reached from here. Taiyur, Siruseri and Navalur are within 5 km.

Buses ply from Saidapet to Kelambakkam. Nearest airport and railhead are Chennai International Airport and Tambaram Railway Station.
