Keezha Kasakudy




Keezha Kasakudy, a place with historical background, is in Karaikal District. Karaikal is 4 km away.

The excavations made here in 1879 signify the cultural level of the people who lived in this region during the Pallava period. The most important of these were Kasakkudi copper plates, which belonged to Nandivarman-II.

There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the vicinity.
