Kawas Gas Power Plant

Kawas Gas Power Plant is a gas based power station located in Surat District of Gujarat. It started power generation in 1992 and is designed to generate 645 MW of electricity from its six units.

Kawas Thermal Gas Plant uses gas from South Basin Gas field and water from Hazira Branch Canal. Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli are its major beneficiaries.
