Kavanur

Kavanur of Vellore District is on the rail route between Gudiyattam and Arakkonam. This village is about 15 km north-west of Vellore. Virinchipuram lies in the south and Katpadi in the east.

In the neighborhood lie Vellore Fort, Government Museum, Madarazaye Mohammadiya Masjid, Muthu Mandapam (tomb of Vikrama Raja Singha) and Uthira Ranganathaswamy Temple at Pallikondai.

Katpadi Junction Railway Station is a prominent railhead nearby. Other rail access points are Gudiyattam Railway Station and Vellore Cantonment Railway Station. Chennai International Airport and Tirupati Airport are the nearest airports.
